Dr. Tsend-Ayush Damba’s present working position is the Head of Department of Mongolian Medicine Study, ISMM and her main activity is management of research and educational function of the Department, lecture, and clinical activity.

She specialized in pharmacological study of traditional medicinal plants and she has an experience with clinical pharmacological methods such as experimental liver pathology. In 1998 she carried out Master degree in Medicine in the same University with master thesis “The influence of compound Three fruits to some indices on blood coagulation”. The term “Three fruits” is traditional medicinal prescription’s name which consists of three kinds of medicinal raw materials. Dr. Tsend-Ayush master degree’s research result showed what traditional medicinal compound “Three fruits” has hypocoagulate activity, and makes blood easy to flow, which very important in hipercoagulative pathology.

In 2001 Dr. Tsend-Ayush completed research for three years in Russia, and earned a PhD degree in medicine. Her dissertation title was “Pharmacological analysis of Lilium Pumilum Delile (flower’s infusion), its influence on blood coagulation during the toxic hepatitis”.

Her post-doctoral training was at the Vienna University, Austria, at the Institute of Pathophysiology, her research project [Pharmakognosie (ASVS)] was “Indigenous knowledge of traditional Mongolian medicine applied in science. Characterization of plants and their biological effects on liver cells”.

Her research interests are Experimental & Clinical Pharmacology of traditional plants, Hepatoprotective and Anticancer activity of medicinal plants.
