It is expected that students of ICUMS will operate under the highest code of honor and integrity while studying at this university. They are expected to be honest in submitting their own work during their studies. Plagiarism, cheating, or any misuse of the ICUMS university material will not be tolerated.

• 1. Plagiarism is using somebody else’s ideas, words, or material without citing them or without their permission. Taking a piece of writing from a source directly or only modifying it slightly (changing a few words) is plagiarism. All work submitted by students must be created originally by themselves. All sources used in a student's work must be properly cited so that another person can find the resource. Students must not copy directly from any source, unless the material is indicated in quotation marks with a proper citation.
• 2. Cheating is using materials or personal resources to gain an advantage for a particular quiz, assignment, exam, or any other work. This includes unfairly obtaining information about the contents of quizzes, assignments, exams, or any other work required for ICUMS. Students must not work with other students or other persons on their quizzes, assignments, exams, or any other work required for ICUMS, unless permission is granted by the professor for a particular piece of work.

If a student plagiarizes, cheats, or if there is any misuse on any quiz, assignment, exam, or any other work required by ICUMS, they will fail that quiz, assignment, exam, or work, that is receive a grade of zero. On the first offense, the student will receive a zero grade for that work and a warning from the teacher. On the second offense, the student will receive a zero grade for that work and will be warned from the teacher that if it happens a third time, the student will fail the course. On the third offense, the student will fail the entire course and they will need to re-enroll for and re-take that course and must pay again fees for that course.
